Food Bank Project

Thai Buddharam Temple Foodbank

The Temple Foodbank was established as a direct response by the charity to help the local community deal with underlying food deprivation issues and the effects of the pandemic. Through early engagement with the local authorities, the charity has established a regular dry food supply from FareShare Aberdeen and commenced food parcel distribution in late November 2020.

The Foodbank is open on Tuesday and Wednesday weekly from 10am – 2pm at East Lodge, Queens Road and is run by two Coordinators and a support team who receive, sort, bag and distribute food parcels to all users. The Foodbank is proving increasingly popular (see above chart) and from discussions with the users we know that we are reaching those in the community who need help.

Most folks access the Foodbank by walking from the Hazlehead and Northfield/ Mastrick areas but we also have users from other outlying areas.

We would be grateful for any donations to the Foodbank to continue our work. Please contact

Thank you!
